Dr. Alang Tho has been doing research in the field of HRM and teaching related courses of Strategic Human Resource Management, Academic and Professional Development, and Sociology for undergraduate students at the International University (VNUHCM) and the University of West of England (UK).
Dr. Alan has extensive practical experience in both academic and business environments with managerial roles.
Dr. Alang Tho has spent almost a decade teaching at various colleges and universities across Vietnam. He started his teaching career as a novice lecturer at the University of Da Nang, and then served as a Teaching Assistant while studying for his Master’s degree at the Minghsin University of Science and Technology in Taiwan.
In 2012, Dr. Alang arrived back in Vietnam and took the position of Headteacher of Human Resource Faculty at the University of Da Nang, Kontum campus. He received the Australian Award Scholarship for the PhD course at RMIT University and completed his PhD in 2019.
Dr. Alang Tho enthusiasm for teaching and research is evident through extra awards and activities he has undertaken. His research papers have been published on prestigious journals and conferences such as Asia Pacific Journal of Human Resources, Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM), Association of Industrial Relations Academics in Australia and New Zealand (AIRAAN), Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE), and International Labour and Employment Relations Association (ILERA).
Dr. Alang is also a reviewer for several top-tier journals such as the International Journal of Hospitality Management, Personnel Review, and Quality Assurance in Education.
